Join the MIT Enterprise Forum of San Diego as it spotlights Sa n Diego¡¯s recent Clean Tech entrepreneurial growth and celebrates the succ ess of a local incubator in the space.? One of the more prominent San Dieg o success stories will be presented\, detailing its journey from a Univers ity Research Lab toward commercializing Vehicle To Grid (V2G) technologies and business models worldwide to doing its part to subdue the infamous Ca lifornia Duck Curve.? Joe Carangelo is the current Pres ident and Chapter Chair of the MIT Enterprise Forum of San Diego. His 30-y ear career has spanned across Management Consulting\, Molecular Diagnostic s\, mobile Health\, and most recently Renewable Energy\, holding influenti al roles in Corporate Strategy\, Strategic Marketing\, and Innovation Busi ness Development at San Diego flagship companies such as Hybritech\, Gen-P robe\, Great Call\, and Baker Home Energy during their high growth and tra nsformative years. He is on the Technology Assessment Committee of the Sou thern California Energy Innovation Network\, where he advises and mentors start-ups through the Program\, as well as contributing to Advisory Boards for both private companies and non-profits. Joe has an MBA in Strategy an d Innovation from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business\, a Master¡¯s degree from the University of California at Berkeley\, and a Bach elor of Science in Chemical Engineering from THE Massachusetts Institute o f Technology.

Jason is President and CEO of Cleantech San Diego\, a nonprofit member organizat ion that positions the greater San Diego region as a global leader in the cleantech and smart cities economy. Cleantech San Diego¡¯s membership inclu des more than 100 local businesses\, universities\, governments\, and nonp rofits committed to advancing sustainable solutions for the benefit of the economy and the environment.

Before joining Cleantech San Diego i n 2010\, Jason was Vice President of Business Development for the San Dieg o Regional Economic Development Corporation (EDC). Prior to joining EDC in 2006\, Jason lived in Austin\, Texas\, where he worked in the State Capit ol as Legislative Director for Texas State Senator Frank Madla.

Ja son holds a degree in Corporate Communications from the University of Texa s in Austin and is a 2008 graduate of LEAD San Diego.

\n

He is a memb er of the City of San Diego¡¯s Sustainable Energy Advisory Board\, the Coun ty of San Diego¡¯s Comprehensive Renewable Energy Plan Technical Advisory C ommittee\, and the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority Advisory Bo ard. Jason is also a board member of Connect / SD Venture Group\, the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation\, and Equality California\ , the nation¡¯s largest statewide lesbian\, gay\, bisexual\, and transgende r civil rights organization.

Marc Trahand\, Executive Vice President\, Marketing for N uvve

\n

Marc Trahand is Executive Vice President of Marketin g for Nuvve and oversees all aspects of marketing\, branding and external communications for the company and previously oversaw Nuvve¡¯s European V2G operations.

\n

Marc is a seasoned executive and entrepreneur\, previ ously serving as Co-Founder and COO of luxury smartphone company Savelli-G en¨¨ve. He also served as President of Topyko Mobility SAS\, Director of Pr oduct Management at Modelabs and at Kyocera Communications\, Inc. Marc has also worked at Nokia\, Ford Motor Company and GE Medical Systems in marke ting and product management roles.

\n

Marc holds an MBA from Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania\, an MSc in Electrica l Engineering from Supelec\, France\, an MSc in Biomedical Engineering fro m Imperial College of London and a Bachelor of Engineering from Heriot-Wat t University in Edinburgh.
